No Bake Christmas Treats

by - January 02, 2017

I know I'm a little too late for this blog post, but the video was up before Christmas and somehow I totally forgot to make a blog post about it.

I cannot get over these recipes, there are two of them in this video. The Rocky Road is this hard, huge bar with soft marshmallows and so many different tastes of chocolate in it. I am extremely obsessed with this right now, holidays or no holidays, I can have this anytime.

The other one is oreo truffle, which is a chocolate truffle, but made of oreo(legendary, right?). It is so soft and delicious, I cannot stop eating it once I start. The best part is, they are so easy to make, and require such less ingredients, that I can make them almost whenever I feel like. So here are the two recipes!

Chocolate Rocky Road-

Ingredients:

Semi sweet chocolate 350 gm
Mini marshmallows 250 gm
Choco chips 1/3rd Cup
Cinnamon powder 1/4th tsp
Ginger nut cookies 1 packet

Method:

1) Melt your chocolate using the double boiler method. If you don't know what that is; it's a method for melting your chocolate by putting it above(not directly on) hot water. So you basically just put it in a glass bowl, and put that bowl on top of a pan full of water, and put the whole thing on a stove.

2) Add mini marshmallows, ginger cookies, choco chips, cinnamon powder and mix it well.

3) Now pour the mixture in a butter greased pan.

4) Put it in the fridge for 1 hour and that's it! Yep, it's that easy.

When it freezes, you can cut it into square shaped pieces(or any other shape) and sprinkle icing sugar on top of it!

Oreo Truffle-

Ingredients:

24 Oreo cookies
1 cup cream cheese
2 tbsp cocoa powder

Method:

1) Crush your oreo cookies in a mixie.

2) Add cream cheese and mix it together.

The mixture should be thick and gooey.

3) Now refrigerate it for 2 hours.

4) Take out ball sized portions and roll them in your palms to shape them properly. The freezing helps in making the balls tighter.

5) Now, you can either roll the balls in crushed oreos, or cocoa powder. I did both, and I can't chose between them.

And you're done!
